Windshield Wiper/Washer / Components And Components Location

Windshield Wiper-Washer Switch Repair procedures

Removal

Front Wiper Arm

  1. If necessary, remove the blade by pushing it in the direction arrow after opening the hook (A).

Warning

  • Move the windshield glass wiper blades to the service position as follows; After turning off the engine, move the wiper switch to the single wiping (MIST) position within 20 seconds and hold the switch more than 2 seconds until the wiper blade is in the service position.
  • After turning ignition to the ON position, move the wiper switch to the single wiping (MIST) and wiper arms will return to the normal operating position.

  1. Remove the wiper arms (A) by loosening the nuts after removing the caps.

Tightening torque : 22.6 - 26.5 N*m (2.3 - 2.7 kgf*m, 16.6 - 19.5 lb*ft)

Rear Wiper Arm

  1. If necessary, remove the blade (A) by pulling it.

  1. Remove the rear wiper cap (A).

  1. Remove the rear wiper arm (A) after loosening the mounting nut.

Tightening torque : 3.9 - 6.9 N*m (0.4 - 0.7 kgf*m, 2.9 - 5.1 lbf*ft)

Installation

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Warning

  • When installing, place the wiper arm to the specified position and then tighten the nut.

Front wiper

  • Place the passenger blade to the setting position at windshield glass clear marking (A).

Rear wiper

  • Wiper blade to be lined up on marking (A).
